In my previous career as a professional cook, whether I was working in a restaurant kitchen or as a wedding caterer, I often made specialty hors d'oeuvres, desserts, and cakes adorned with edible flowers. To me, there is nothing more eye-catching than the natural beauty of violas and herb flowers atop a buttercream frosted cake or a silky goat cheese crostini delicately topped with nasturtiums.
The Petal Dispatch is excited to serve our local bakeries, caterers, coffee shops, restaurants, and other Portland eateries with our farm-fresh and sustainable edible blooms!
Our edible and decorative flower selections are picked-to-order on the day of delivery. We encourage you to keep them cool/refrigerated at all times to avoid wilting, and to use them within 3 days of delivery.
Edible flower boxes include a seasonal mix from our edible flower patch, and are available in two size quantities. Each flower box is safely cleaned and packaged, and ready to use.
We use only natural and organic growing practices. Rest assured, your edible flowers are free from any harmful chemicals and/or pesticides. We grow all of our flowers among our organically grown vegetable garden, and will oftentimes just pick and snack on what’s growing in our field—one of the many benefits of growing our flowers and food naturally!
